Company NewsHangover for Brownfields Recovery According to a report in the Boston Globe, Brownfields Recovery Corp. “is no longer looking for business.” In an interview with Brownfield News the company’s president Jack Thomas said, “There’s a lot to that story, but its really part of our evolution. When we started in 1996 we had been developing impacted properties for some time as a service company under our environmental firm. In 1996, I talked my partner into taking this to another level—acquiring other’s environmental problems.” Thomas explained that the company had begun its work in the brownfield market by acquiring abandoned or about to be abandoned industrial property and bringing them up to standards.
