Steven Azar is Raising the Bar

Maybe Steven Azar should be the Brownfield Renewal “people” of the year, yet Azar humbly reports that he is simply a part of an incredible team and administration—starting at the top with Mayor Joseph A. Curtatone. But that said, Mr. Azar’s multi-functional workflow is in many ways nonpareil. Azar's professional “hats” are numerous. He started in the private sector: after studying environmental engineering at the Wentworth Institute of Technology, he began working for CH2M Hill, Inc. as a project engineer. He focused on the remediation, permitting, design and construction efforts behind the redevelopment of industrial sites into modern, mixed-use commercial communities.
